This is the concluding segment of my two-part (Aloe Vera - Is It Just A Laxative?) article on the Aloe Vera plant which for many years was erroneously regarded as no more than a powerful laxative. Aloe Vera in actual fact is one of Nature’s most potent medicinal herbs. In tandem with it’s ability as an effective and natural weight loss agent, it is also a strong and healthy detoxifying agent.
Aloe Vera as a Detoxifying Agent:
Aloe Vera also has strong antibacterial and antifungal properties against a broad range of microbes. Carrisyn, an extract of Aloe Vera, has shown recent evidence of being able to inhibit a number of viruses ‘in-vitro’, including the strains responsible for herpes simples, measles, and HIV. Carrisyn appears to work by stimulating the immune system to trigger the production of blood cells that fight infection, thereby boosting the immune function.
Amino acids methionine, serine, threonine and molybdenum are useful. They detoxify heavy metals, help in proper metabolism of carbohydrates, fat and protein thus preventing buildup of fat in the liver and arteries.

We’ve all heard about the miracle drug, Botox, being injected into people’s skin to bring back that youthful glow and take years off our face. Well, you may have heard that Botox is not safe and can only be injected in between the eyebrows. For most of us, our wrinkles are in more places than in between our eyebrows! Plus, you don’t just get one treatment, but many and it’s not even guaranteed to work! Just think, thousands of dollars going right down the drain!
So, what do we do to get the same results without spending over $700 a pop to get stuck with needles? There are some wonderful anti-wrinkle creams that provide a very safe alternative with long-term results. You don’t have to break the bank and put your health in danger just to have gorgeous skin.
Let’s look at a very important ingredient of any anti-wrinkle cream worth its weight in gold - Argireline. Acetyl Hexapeptide - 3, also known as Argireline, is an amino acid that relaxes the facial muscles, tightens and slows down degeneration of collagen and elastin. This is a completely safe alternative to Botox. [click to continue…]

With developments in science and the cosmetics industry, there are now five different types of product that help you fight the acts of aging; anti aging serum is amongst the best. Serum works by enhancing your body’s production of collagen which makes your skin become taut and relaxed. Great results come from using the product after about four weeks, although after a week you will notice some changes that will be significant for both yourself and others to notice.
Anti aging ingredients that help reverse aging
- Anti aging Serum - this isn’t number one because its the best, but more because of its ease of use and many people who have used products that contain the serum have noticed very good results. Anti aging serum that works the best will generally contain retinal and vitamin A, which will help your skin form and look beautiful in a matter of weeks.
- Peptides - being number two, they have a right to be closely ranked behind anti aging serum. Peptides are reactants that tell your body to make more collagen, which helps your skin become more supple and relaxed, but tightens at the same time, making your skin look and feel better with every cream application you make. Applications should be applied regularly, however, as if you reduce the amount (or stop totally) the applications of the skin care cream, then your skin will probably also stop doing the lovely things that it has been doing. Edelweiss extract comes from Edelweiss flowers, which are short lived perennials. Edelweiss is a German word which means noble and white.
